My Dearest Anna Edward Herrmann October 25, 2008
The Weir Farm Art Center presented My Dearest Anna, an original theatrical production, in collaboration with the Wilton Playshop on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Wilton Playshop.
Drawn from published and unpublished love letters written by Julian Alden Weir to his wife Anna, the one man show starred internationally acclaimed actor Edward Herrmann. Known most recently for his role as the grandfather on the television series, "The Gilmore Girls." Herrmann is also remembered for his Emmy nominated performance as Franklin D. Roosevelt on the miniseries "Eleanor and Franklin." A veteran of stage and screen, Herrmann has acted in more than fifty films, including "The Great Gatsby", "Reds," "The Aviator," and the recent "I Think I Love my Wife." He is also well known as the narrator of numerous History Channel documentaries.
My Dearest Anna was presented at 6:00. Tickets were available for sale at the Weir Farm Art Center for $50 general admission, and $150 for premium tickets. Premium ticket holders were invited to a cocktail reception to meet Edward Herrmann.
